About the Department:

    The department was a branch of the agricultural department until 1/8/1973. After that time, it was separated alone and was known the department od economy and agricultural guidiame. Early in 1979-1980 the department became two departments the agricultural economy department and the agricultural guide and training department. After the abolition of the agricultural college of Salahdin University in 1986-1987, the department named the department of economy and agricultural cooperation. Study, in this department, started in 1973-1974. This department was abolished in 1991 and was named again as the department of agricultural economy. Higher education started in it since 1976-1977. Till now ( 35  ) students were granted Master degrees and (  9 ) students were also awarded doctoral degrees in various branches of the agricultural economy. The importance of this department comes from its responsibility of the economical side, which is related to the scientific studies in the college. Work in this department has two main aspects for a chairing this responsibility. First: this department is specialized in agricultural activity through best exploitation of the economical and agricultural resources as well as it is specialized in organizing the social and economical relationship between population and these resources. This will raise the product efficiency of these resources to its extreme extent. All this is done through agricultural and economical studies and researches given to the students of higher education who belong to this development.
