About the college:

    The college was established in July 1964 unde the name of Agriculture and forestry college after the decision of transfering the high forestry institution in Abo - Gharib – Baghdad to the University of Mosul and developed it to a college to teach the other agricultural sciences, in addition to the forestery science that time it belonged to Baghdad University till the 1'st of April 1967. it is one of the first five college in University of Mosul at that time In 1967 the college was transfered from the temporary to the permanent location at Hamam Al Alial, which is about 25Km far away  south of Mosul city. At that place the essential departments, labrotaries and experimental fields were build up. The college nw include ten different scientific departments. The period of study for a Bsc degree is four years.

In addition, the college grants a Msc & PhD degrees for most of agricultural specializations. The 1'st ph.D degree were granted in 1987 in field crops.
