About the Department:

  

    History department was established in 1966. It includes the main following specializations: ancient history, Islamic history and modern and contemporary history. The post-graduate studies, started in 1977 in the field of Islamic history, modern and contemporary history in addition to ancient history.

The department aims at preparing and graduating researchers and lecturers to support scientific research in the different fields of history.
