About the Department:
The Dept. of sociology was founded in 1985-1986 with the title "Dept. of social
services", and taught subjects related to social services. With the social and
vocational developments in the departments, some adjustments were made on the
subjects taught, which required changing the name of the department into the
(Dept. of Sociology) in 1995-1996. Post Graduate. studies were carried out in
the department for 8 years after which they were suspended in 2004-2005 because
of lack in the number of teaching staff.
