The department was established in 1994 after being closed in 1998 , aims at teaching Islamic materials , to provide students with Islamic science to be able to teach Islamic education properly to direct future generations , to increase their faith , and educate them in an Islamic way to know the greatness of their religion , its rules , and to build the nation properly in all aspects , religiously , behaviourally , and culturally , and to know the great responsibility laid on their shoulders socially and religiously and socially with the rejection of all subjects deforming the great heritage of the nation

The Current year : - To practice the Islamic rituals and traditions ( Birth of prophet for example ) - Having intellectual season ( competitions and lectures ) - The first scientific symposium dated on 22/6/2006 entitled (The Role of Islamic education in building individual and society ) - Help the pupils in need both financially and morally
The next year : All the above mentioned points will be repeated annually except for the other symposium that will be entitled at then
