About the Department:

The Department of Mathematics Has been established in 1963, which was located within the College of Science, University of Mosul. The purpose of this establishment was to supply the Ministry of Education at that time with teachers specialized in teaching mathematics. The development of mathematics was a consequence development study for high scientific applications, in which they were used for the purpose of minters, and according to active roles of mathematics in research for the development of Computer Science.

The University of Mosul decided to construct the College of Computer Sciences and Mathematics in 1999, where the Mathematics Department resides.
