About the Department:

             

      This Department is regarded one of the main departments in the College of Administration and Economics. It was established in 1986 after it was a branch of administration department. The department is well preferred, for the B.Sc. degree granted in accounting sciences in which it qualifies the graduate to work in the country offices.

      The department objectives:

1-      Preparing well qualified accountant staff to meet the needs of national development planning.

2-      Presenting accounting consultation to the country offices.

3-      Participating in the Iraqi association of accountants and auditors.

4-      Preparing seminars and discussions in accounting specialization.

5-      Encouraging the accountant to a qualified behavior.

6-      Preparing researches and scientific studies in accounting.

      The accounting department participates in lecturing the students in the Arab institution for accounting and audit and in other scientific offices in the governorate.
