About the Department:

   The Dept . was established in 1978 and accepted students finishing ; preparatory schools ( scientific and literature are branches) , institutes of preparing teachers and also in service – teachers . The Dept . grants B.A degree in Educational and Psychological Sciences for under-graduate studies . In 1982 , the Dept . graduated its first under-graduate studies, students .Those students can worke as :

1- Teachers in Institutes of preparing teachers .

2- Councellors in  secondary and preparatory schools .

3- Amember in Security and social Affairs .

4- Amember in Courts as a social Researcher .

     The under-graduate studies lasts for four years in this Dept . and deals with annual – system .

     On 1987 , the post – gradute studies started by granting M.A degree in methods of teaching . From 1993 on , the Dept . gives M.A degree in the following specializations :

1- Educational psychology .

2- Methods of Teaching .

3- Educational sciences .

4- Educational Administration .

     Since the academic year 1996- 1997, the Dept . started gratead Ph . D degree in the following specializations :

1- Educational psychology .

2- Educational Technology .

3- Methods of Teaching .

4- Educational sciences .

     During the academic year 1999-2000 , the Dept . gives a Deploma degree in Methods of Teaching . These courses had given to improve  the instructional and educational skills  for graduats in the college of sciences and college of Arts , to be an active teachers .

The Current year :

During the academic year 1999-2000 , the Dept . gives a Deploma degree in Methods of Teaching . These courses have been gives to improve  the instructional and educational skills  for graduats in the college of sciences and college of Arts , to be an active teachers .

The next year :

     The Dept. prepared an association in practical- Teaching to secondary and preparataory schools'  principals .
