Engineering College

The college of engineering was established in 1963 as part of the University of Baghdad , since then the study in the civil engineering department started , then the department of Electrical engineering is added with the foundation of the University of Mosul in 1967. Other departments also added such as the Mechanical, the Agricultural (now called the water resources), and the Architectural departments in the same date, followed by the Department of Computer Engineering in 1998 then finally the Mechatronic Engineering Department established in 2005 for which enrolment will begin next year in 2006.
The college offers postgraduate studies in different specializations studies leading to MS.c (Master of science) degrees as well as for Ph.D (Doctor of philosophy) degrees since 1970. also the college provides consultation services since 1971 and offers continuing education courses for both governmental and private engineers.
