About the Department:

  Theatrical department aims to graduate specialized in theatrical arts :acting, directing , theatrical technique in addition to activating the theatrical movement in the city and cultivate the spectator s artical taste and participation in theatrical festival symposium to the Iraqi culture.

The department was established in (1994) contains two branches : Acting and directing. Also it produces more than one hundered theatrical performances by the students and department instructors and participate  regulary in Iraqi theatrical festival, and established student's theatrical festival periodically .Also achieved two scientific siminar in children theatre and dramatic composotion .In addition,it invites the critics and specialize individuals in theater to recite theatrical lecturer , Also the department graduated seven sessions.
