Medicine Department
The department was established with the establishment of the college itself in 2002. The only member and the head of the department was Dr. Nazar M. Qibi (the dean of college). In 2004 when the college students reached the 3rd class and the teaching of medicine started, lecturers from Mosul college of medicine assisted in the teaching process. In 2005, Two lecturers were appointed in the faculty of Medicine of the college; Dr. Nabeel N. Fadhil and Dr. Khaldoon Th. Ahmad. Those in addition to the dean took the responsibility of teaching Medicine in the 3rd and 4th classes. Towards the end of the Academic year 2005-2006 another lecturer was appointed; Dr. Mahfoth S. Saidan (a psychiatrist) who, with lecturers from Mosul college covered the subject of psychiatry and behavioral Medicine. The Department of Medicine in our college, in addition to its responsibility, was officially responsible for the units of surgery and gynecology, that were belonging to the Department of Medicine until the middle of 2006 when the department of surgery was established and took its own responsibility and the responsibility of unit gynecology.

Building: The building of the department is part of Mosul College (The 2nd floor of the original building). The clinical lessons are given at Ibin-Sina Teaching Hospital.
