The Departments of the College Courses and Lessons (undergraduate)
The College of Veterinary Medicine was founded in 1976. The programs of study in the college for five years lead to a bachelor degree in veterinary medicine and surgery (BVMS). The programs offer theoretical, practical and clinical experiences in different aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery. The graduated veterinarians are expected to serve the community with regards to animal health, welfare and production as well as issues of the environment and public health. Rich varied and extensive livestock programs in Mosul and its surroundings and referrals from nearby areas provide a wealth of clinical material for professional education and research in veterinary medicine and surgery.
